Description
Gas Station Story is a brand new sci-fi slice-of-life game for the GAME BOY COLOR family of systems - as well as MacOS and Windows! You take on the role of the Clerk, and are tasked with taking care of a small gas station during the aftermath of a brutal war. As a mysterious computer virus begins to destabilize the lives of those around you, you’re given the option to respond with kindness or rudeness — the chance to help others or push them away. You and your coworker will spend 5 in-game days together, and if you both make it out of there alive, you might just find there’s more to your relationship than you were expecting… But only in a few of the 25+ endings! Gas Station Story is coming soon to computers and GAME BOYs everywhere.
Details
Graphics
All of the character portraits during dialogue sequences were created using a GAME BOY Camera on original hardware. The portraits were then imported and cleaned up for readability -- but outside of removing backgrounds, the pixels are straight from the Camera! There are over 170 GAME BOY Camera character portraits, as well as 20 unaltered GAME BOY Camera photos.
Setting
Set on the desert planet of Elyris, just outside of Divinity City. A mysterious computer virus infects the your Point-of-Sale system, causing it to update itself somehow. As you continue about your work week, the virus begins to change the system more and more — and it’s affecting your customers, too!
Endings
Gas Station Story has a plethora of endings to uncover. Your boss could show up on the final day, your coworker might quit or fall in love with you, you might even get arrested for purchasing illegal contraband! With 26 different conclusions to the story, there’s always something new to experience from a fresh playthrough.
